DMS Group Exits Full-Service Digital Advertising Agency Business

Heightened Focus on Ad Network and Syndication Businesses


DMS Group SINGAPORE – 31 October 2008 – Digital Marketing Solutions (DMS Group), the leading integrated group of online and mobile advertising businesses in Southeast Asia, today announced a strategic decision to move away from holding a full-service digital advertising agency under its portfolio of companies. The group will now focus resources on the ad network and syndication businesses to meet the growing demand for digital advertising.

New Media was launched in 2004 as a full-service digital advertising agency to plan, create, and execute web and mobile advertising campaigns. Over the years, the agency business model has created both internal and external conflicts for the DMS Group. Effective immediately, New Media in Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia will cease offering one-stop digital ad services. A core team from New Media will continue to manage existing contracts and honour all current contractual obligations. Going forward, this team will focus on developing media services and products which complement the other DMS Group businesses. This business unit will be rebranded at a later stage.

The remaining three DMS Group companies – Admax Network, Admax Plus (Syndacast.com), and Impaq Interactive – will continue to deliver innovative and high-demand services, especially in this environment where marketers are looking for cost-efficient alternatives and better visibility on ROI.
